Meet Elizabeth

Daughter. Sister. Wife. Mother. Friend. Therapist.

I am many things to many people. A career in psychotherapy is just one aspect of my life. I am a native Houstonian and the youngest of four siblings to parents who were married for 55+ years before my mother’s death. After graduating from high school, I went to college out of state to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism and returned to Texas one year later in search of myself. After several years of discerning who and what I wanted to be when I grew up, I found certainty in a desire to support struggling families.

I graduated from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas with a bachelor's degree in family studies and soon after received my master's degree in family therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I am licensed in the state of Texas as Professional Counselor and as a Marriage and Family Therapist with supervisor designations in both licensures and am a certified Daring Way Facilitator (CDWF). I currently serve my fellow CDWF as the Texas-Mexico Geographic Region Co-Leader.

My career as a family therapist focuses on grief and the impact loss has on one's identity. My clinical work focuses on bereavement, couples in crises due to betrayal, couples wanting to strengthen their emotional bond and improve their communication skills, people searching for themselves and ready to nurture their shame-resilience skills, and healing parent-adult child relationships. While this path was not initially purposeful, it is exactly where I belong. I love this work and believe it is an absolute honor to witness and somehow be a part of one's healing.

My family is my priority. I am married to a wonderful man, and we are blessed by our four children. I create time in the craziness of my life to love, laugh, and play. To that end, I enjoy spending time with friends, running, eating, cooking, playing board games, reading, and stealing a nap here and there.
