Meet Elizabeth

Daughter. Sister. Wife. Mother. Friend. Therapist.

I am many things to many people. A career in psychotherapy is just one aspect of my life. I am a native Houstonian and the youngest of four siblings to parents who were married for 55+ years before my mother’s death. After graduating from high school, I went to college out of state to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism and returned to Texas one year later in search of myself. After several years of discerning who and what I wanted to be when I grew up, I found certainty in a desire to support struggling families.

I graduated from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas with a bachelor's degree in family studies and soon after received my master's degree in family therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I am licensed in the state of Texas as Professional Counselor and as a Marriage and Family Therapist with supervisor designations in both licensures.

My work as a family therapist centers around grief and the impact loss has on one's identity. My areas of clinical focus are bereavement, couples in crises due to betrayal, couples wanting to strengthen their emotional bond and improve their communication skills, and women in significant life transitions such as perimenopause/menopause and facing the empty nest . While this path was not initially purposeful, it is exactly where I belong. I love this work and believe it is an absolute honor to witness and somehow be a part of one's healing.

My family is my priority. I am married to a wonderful man, and we are blessed by our four children. I dedicate time to love, laugh, and play. To that end, I enjoy spending time with friends, running, eating, cooking, playing board games, reading, and stealing a nap here and there.
